"Worst DVD Player I've ever owned"

Pros

Nothing special. It's HD, 1080p w/ up-scaling, has coax & fiber out.

Cons

Un-responsive to the remote control
Skips/Stops constantly
Fast Forward/Rewind speeds suck.

The unit is horribly un-responsive to the remote control (I replaced batteries & setup my Sony RM-AV3100, i have to push buttons 50 times before the DVD player picks up on it.) The slightest imperfection in your DVDs causes this player to stop/skip. The player only supports 2x, 4x, & 64x... How about 8x, 16x, 32x? 4x is really slow but at 64x you're skipping chapters every few seconds.

Overall I'd say this is the worst DVD player I've ever owned. I'll never buy a Samsung again because of it.

Pros

Works great, excellent quality when using HDMI, USB is the best. I have two of these units and looking to acquire a third. I rarely use DVD's. Have hard drives connected to both and watch movies through the USB...

Cons

The only con is that it tends to freeze up once in a while and it needs to be reset and that is it

Very well built, inexpensive DVD/Media player. The USB port is the main function that is used in my house. The quality of the media depends on the digital quality (Some 1080, some are 480, depends on the conversion from DVD to AVi format). Helps prevent my DVD's from being scratched up, convert the DVD's, put them on an external hard drive, play from the hard drive and store your DVD's just in case you need them.
Highly recommended.

Haven't had any problems with it, wasn't too expensive. There are definately better ones out there I just wanted an inexpensive DVD player and you get what you pay for...basic DVD player
