"If only It lasted!!"
onPros Great Storage. Ability to capture frames for jacket improvement over previous version.
Cons My producted flamed out after only a year and a half. I would have thought I had just bought a lemon, but this is the second model that has done this to me. Sony is the only manufacturer with the features I want, but I am not sure if I will ever buy a S

"Remote doesn't work properly"
onPros Holds lots of discs
Cons When I turn the player on it automatically starts to play the first disc even though I've selected another disc to play. It takes about a minute to stop the player and then select the correct disc to play. It's too slow. Also the remote doesn't work pr

"Buy the Pioneer instead!"
onPros Lots of good technical features. However, don't get it!
Cons I owned a Pioneer DVD Changer and it is much easier to use. For example, when I hit "folder" to bring up a list of DVD/Disc, playing will stop. How stupid! With the Pioneer, you can browse through your collection of discs without stopping the current disc

"Good value for the money!"
onSummary I recently purchased this DVD player and set it up a couple of nights ago. So far, I am very pleased with it. It has many features including progressive scan (not listed in the CNET description). Only a coulple of things I didn't really like. The remote is not lit and does not have luminescent buttons. Loading the player initially can take some time especially if you have a large number of disks. A little hint when loading the disks. Make a list of each disk you load and what slot you loaded it in. That way, if the disk doesn't show up under the folder navigator you can readily type in the disk title without having to play the disk or unloading it from the player. Another nice feature is the scene snapshot feature. This allows you to take a snapshot from your favorite scene in a movie and save it as the "icon" for your disk next to the title. Overall, I really like this player and if you don't need a top of the line (expensive) player, this is a good bet.
