The Bottom Line	The Toshiba HD-XA1 is the more expensive model of the company's initial pair of HD-DVD players.	The ongoing format war makes any HD DVD purchase a dicey proposition, but for early adopters willing to take the dive, the HD-XA2 is an excellent choice.	CNET has not reviewed the Toshiba HD-A3, but we have reviewed the similar step-up model, the Toshiba HD-A30.	Offering most of the performance of more expensive players, the HD-A2 is an excellent value for budget-minded buyers looking to jump into HD DVD.
