The SD2109 DVD Video Player not only delivers superior video and audio performance, it has all the connections necessary for a growing home entertainment system including ColorStream component video outputs as well as Dolby Digital and DTS compatible digital surround sound outputs. The SD2109 is the foundation for a 21st Century Home Theater... and it's available today. This Toshiba DVD Player features an advanced 10-bit Video Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) and a high-resolution 27 MHz digital filter, ensuring maximum image resolution and artifact-free pictures. Component Video pictures are characterized by enhanced color detail, color purity and color resolution. Video Black Level Control allows you to adjust black level cutoff to one of 2 settings, the NTSC standard of 7.5 ire or 0 ire. The 0 ire setting provides expanded contrast and the richest blacks ever. Optical and Coaxial digital audio outputs allow you to connect SD2109 to a Dolby Digital compatible receiver to reproduce the state-of-the-art audio found in the best cinemas. Dolby Digital surround sound creates a 360-degree "hologram" of dramatically realistic sound through 5.1 discrete channels. Analog audio outputs are also included for connection to a Dolby ProLogic receiver or Stereo TV. The SD2109 offers compatibility with Digital Theater Systems' multichannel-encoded Compact Discs and DVDs. The advanced perceptual coding and higher data transfer rates of DTS recreate a vivid and lifelike 3-dimensional sound field. With 24-bit quantization and 96 kHz sampling rates, the SD2109 produces finer, more richly textured sound than ever before. Advanced multibit Delta Sigma DAC provides unsurpassed signal-to-noise ratios during playback of high resolution DVD Video discs. Exclusive to Toshiba DVD Video Players is a 4-power picture zoom that allows you to "zoom" in and enlarge 25 selected areas of the picture during normal and slow motion playback. Examine special effects close-up and inspect the detail of background images. It's all accessible with a push of a button. The intuitively designed remote operates all the features of the SD2109. The fingertip controls are ergonomically designed for easy learning and operation. A convenient 4-way "compass" pad makes it easy to navigate through on-screen programming menus. Special dedicated keys let you switch language tracks and camera angles at a touch during playback.
