Flat Screen Folks are unknowningly Ripped Off.
Pros: First off, people who buy Flat Screen TVs do not know that such technology is seriously flawed. Flat screens look nasty by nature. It's too bad Sony no longer sells the older TVs, because they do look better with a DVD player than the newer tvs...! Toshi
Cons: At times, if a dirty DVD comes along, I half to stop it and clean it with Anti-Bacterial liquid soap. That usually does the trick. Otherwise, I love the remote...it does the job.

Pros: I haven't had a single problem with the player yet. It plays all my DVDs without problems. I played CDRs and DVDRs without hassle. There is a simple 1-time hack to make the player a region-free player. PAL discs play pretty good. Picture quality, sound, e

Does the basics
Pros: For the most part, I have had no trouble playing store bought DVDs. Picture and sound are both good and it works well with my 57" Toshiba widescreen.

Worked well... for one year
Pros: Easy to use; Great picture with component video on a regular tube tv.
Cons: Product stopped reading certain dvd's after about a year. Now it is not reading any. It did get a lot of use, but i did expect slightly better quality coming from toshiba. Going to just upgrade and get a higher quality unit from Denon. That's my 3rd $

Picture can be better
Pros: A lot of feature for the price range. Nice design. Seems like a well build machine. Relatively easy to operate and navigate the menu. Didn't have trouble reading Audio CDs, JPEGs or MP3s. Nice FF and Zoom.
Cons: Picture leaves a lot to be desired from. Average Audio CD playback. Astonishingly, S-Video connection played much better compared to the superior Component cable when hooked to my 24" flat screen Sony TV. Looks like it has difficulty displaying Warm color
