JVC CU-VD40 Share Station DVD Burner for HD Everio Camcorders

I dislike this product because it promised so much and lead to disappointment. I use cameras and sharestations everyday for my work and when you have to replace equipment in a hurry you expect it to work. I understand every now and then a single unit may be defective out of a hundred or more. However when you are stuck over a four hour time period trying to find results, and get no answers from the product manufacture techs, that is where I am no longer as forgiving. I called the store I bought it from and they said they have seen a couple come back with the same problems. They, (the store) is willing to take the loss and replace it for me. However the company (JVC) really did not seem interested in fixing it. So long to one year parts and labor. I probably should send JVC a thank you letter for being the most helpless tech support ever to this date.

Something must of glitched when I submited the star section. Origionally I had no stars selected.

Since new purchased to compliment JVC EverioHD7 video camera. Will not accept DVD-R discs of any brand, INCLUDING JVC's DVD-R disc supplied with Burner. Have yet to burn 1 disc.Will not even work as a DVD burner with Laptop. JVC only suggest firmware upgrade, yet to find one that can do job. Disappointing product/dud purchase

I purchased one along with the video camara for easy access to recording trips and both of the dvd recorded that I have had has only worked twice. The first worked on my first trip and after recording 2 dvd's it stoped reading the dvd's, after returning it I got another and the same thing occured I was not able to record after 2 tries I have purchased all the dvd's suggested by your company and still I was not able to record. Very dissapointed I waisted the money on the recorded and the dvds.
