Cons: Weak input signal converter rendered unit inoperable
Summary: I had high hopes for this unit after reading so many great reviews: I returned my Lite-On unit (that had many problems of its own), plugged in the Panasonic, and all it could record was a snowy, grainy image. The "tech support" rep (none too supportive) told me I had to buy a signal booster ($30±) in order for the ES10S to work. Somehow, the Lite-On model didn't require a signal booster, and recorded a clean, clear signal from the same source, so I can only surmise that Panasonic is using a cheaper or otherwise inadequate part for the input signal converter. So back to the dealer it goes...
