Cons: Slow load time, takes about 2 sec to start recording, no chapters option

Summary: I bought this as a secondary DVD recorder to my JVC. Mainly because it was pretty cheap. It does what I need it to do, and for the price, I can't complain.

But when comparing it to my JVC, it falls short. Load time is slightly slower. It takes about 3 sec to start recording once record button is pressed (JVC is almost instantly). There are no option to insert chapters, even though the remote has an "insert chapter" button (it tells you it can't do it). So after finalizing disk, you can't skip. You have to fast forward. A little inconvenient. Not to mention will wear and tear on the drive alot sooner. The quality of the recording is okay. Soft edges, nice colour, not sharp, and no contrast.

If your looking for a basic, basic recorder at a reasonable cost, then I would recommend. Other wise spend a little more and get a much better one.
