"not replacement for vhs quite yet"
Pros: sleek design, pretty good tuner, easy to use right out of box but i recommend reading a little on recording to dvd's. this particular unit uses DVD-R & DVD-RW'S handy thing to know.
Cons: quality in the EP and LP mode is blurry and alot of pixelization. i wouldnt recommend recording in these 2 settings other than the FINE setting if you want a great copy. dont throw your VHS away just yet, if you are trying to find a low budget solution th

Cons: CONS: Audio recording only 2 channels(L&R-stereo).Need more function eg. input optical digital sound. Not able to record VHS NTSC mode ( my region support PAL). Otherwise I'm happy with this product.

"Video quality is everything!"
Pros: All the tools and menu options are great. Even the look of the recorder.
Cons: Recording quality in extended modes is unwatchable. This is not for anyone looking to library their favorite tv shows. In the LP and EP mode the video quality was not anywhere close to my 4-head/ hi-fi VCR. Returning the unit and sticking with VHS for

"Full-featured and good quality"
Pros: Very handy for doing DVD backups from DV camcorders. Excellent tuner. Excellent video. There is a small learning-curve to understand all of the features, but it's generally easy to use.
Cons: None that I have identified.
