    "Don't buy this one if you have Cablevision"

    Pros: easy setup with simple menus

    Cons: Does not work with Cablevision equipment

    Summary: I briefly owned this unit but couldn't keep it because it is not compatable with Cablevision equipment according to Samsung (Scientific Atlanta-Explorer 1850). I was never able to get it to work. It requires that you input the brand of your cable box thru the DVD's remote and I was unable to do so. So I couldn't record or playback anything. Too bad. To make this unit work I would have had to change my cable box and pay a service charge because there is nothing wrong with my cable box. Ridiculous.

    Well, I understand what you're saying but that's just regarding controlling the unit with cablevision, my review comes up next and I rate the unit as useless
