"Best DVD Recorder I've had to date!"

    on December 14, 2004

Pros: Had it for several weeks now and it has exceeded my expectations. Have not experienced one single problem. Cooked several dozen discs to date without a single misfire and this is using the cheapest media I can find. This is the 3rd DVD recorder I have

Cons: None important enough to mention. Really found it easy to use and a great value.

    "Thoroughly impressed"

    on September 8, 2004

Pros: I've owned the RDR-GX300 for a little over a month now and am thoroughly impressed. i've tried recording +R, +RW, -R, -RW and haven't had any issues with any of the media. some people have been reporting that their unit is picky about the disks and is rej

Cons: one thing that is a little annoying is that when i'm watching cable from the DVD player, every now and then a little status display will pop up and display the title of the program that i am watching. this is a little distracting and i wish there was a wa

    "Sony Blows Philips Away"

    on December 24, 2004

Pros: This is my 2nd DVD Recorder and it is much better than my 1st one (Philips DVDR985). The picture quality is much better. It looks much closer to DVD quality. With the Philips, the quality is similar to a video clip you might download off the internet (lot

    Cons: None whatsoever!

    "IR Blaster Works Great"

    on January 16, 2005

Pros: IR Blaster, compatability with my cable box (Atlantic Scientific). Easy to program.

Cons: No VCR Plus Guide. You can only enter VCR Plus codes. I've read so much bad publicity on the guide not matching up anyway (station numbers don't match up). If you get the IR Blaster working you can use your cable box guide anyway.

    "Disappointing Purchase"

    on September 1, 2004

Pros: Burns and plays all formats

Cons: No i.Link (firewire) input. Refused to format several types of media including a Sony DVD+RW disc! Dirty disc error messages with brand new media. Freezes up intermittently upon playback of a recorded disc.
