  "Problem recognizing DVD -R discs."

  Pros: Easy to setup and start using.

  Cons: Problem recognizing DVD -R discs.

  Summary: While this unit could play discs, the only one I really wanted to see was unrecognizable. According to Sony, there is a "known problem" with certain types of -R discs that were not recorded on this unit. However it took 2 calls to customer service to get this explanation. I returned it.
