    Pros: No computer is needed and copy from other video media with standard definition is super easy.

    Cons: No editing. Have to finalize the disc after recording. Cannot exceed the maxi. time of recording to the disc (say 1 Hour for HQ recording) otherwise the disc will not finalize or fail to recor

    Summary: Not sure whether it can record to blu-ray disc as haven't the chance to do so yet. Also has to test on whether it can accept third party HD camcorder like Canon or Panasonic.
