AVOID PRODUCT, AVOID JVC!
Pros: Promised the right feature-set
Cons: DVD player doesn't work
[got address wrong... it's vanns.com ] We're in the audio-video industry, we spend much time testing and researching various products. This product promised the right set of features, but I've never gone with JVC; without many reviews, I rolled my dice. We've had this product 8 days... first time hook up via HDMI, worked on one disk, but not on a number of others (ordinary/clean DVDs from Blockbuster, in my own collection, etc.). HERE'S THE THING-- JVC wants me to ship it back and insure AT MY EXPENSE! That alone is basis for me to NEVER go with JVC again. THE GOOD NEWS - I purchased this at www.VANNS.com - was a great price (I've spent $$$ at other places); I called and immediatley received a very polite, professional and English-speaking human being-- they are paying for it to be RETURNED and REFUNDED! THAT'S SERVICE! My next dollars will be spent there. Thumbs down to JVC, but major KUDOS TO VANNS.COM -- about time a company gets this concept!

Great for copying old VHS tapes to DVD but catches COPY PROCTED on all movies without commercials.
Pros: Very easy to operate and has a good remote
Cons: After making about 10 DVD's it wouldn't recognize a DVD and had to power off for 15 minutes and reset back to the factory default settings.
