Pros: Cannot use product to evaluate pros
Cons: Product does NOT have a coaxial cable connection.
Summary: Specifications are misleading. In fact the product does NOT have a coaxial hook-up connection built-in. If your TV requires one to connect, the instructions tell you that you have to purchase a subscription to a cable or satellite service that can provide you with a box that has one. I purchased this product and now must return it because my TV doesn't have the RCA hook-up required and we cannot get either cable or satellite (or want to for that matter. I cannot review its features and quality of performance, because I cannot use it, despite its claims.

Pros: Reliable and versatile with good picture quality.
Cons: Complicated manual for initial setup but worth the trouble.
Summary: Good item from Sony, though the initial setup is a little difficult. I had to put the book away and use the "quick setup" page and just look at the pictures. The progressive scan makes images look beautiful on my plasma TV. The videos look good, and the recording quality on the VHS is much better than my old VHS player/recorder.

Pros: Excellent playback of DVDs and recording and playback of VHS media. Will play DVD media that skips in my Panasonic DMR-ES35V.
Cons: No negative comments against the listed features; it does what it says it will do.
