|Bottom line|| |
While the "all-new" Paperwhite may seem like an unspectacular upgrade on the surface, it's a clear improvement over the original Paperwhite and arguably the best e-reader currently available.
Although it has all the positive attributes typically associated with a Kindle device, the arrival of Apple's iPad seriously affects the Kindle DX's viability unless Amazon lowers its price by at least $100.
The Kobo Glo is an excellent Kindle alternative, especially for readers seeking EPUB compatibility and international options.
The pricey Kindle DX offers improvements over the Kindle 2, but its larger chassis has its pluses and minuses.
