"Attractive, simple, left and right hand usable."
Pros: The 505 is available in different colors, the memory is expandable, and it reads different formats. There are different font sizes, and portrait/landscape readable.
Cons: can't operate while charging. Also takes a bit of time to start reading again, if many books are added at once.

"Very poor product & customer service from Sony"
Pros: Initially liked the product and was happy with the purchase and the initial sales information was how there would be a massive amount of books to download at reasonable prices - this did not turn out to be the case!
Cons: Very confusing at first to download books, not alot of choice/prices often substantially higher than in stores.
Main issue poor manufacture - broke after 9 months, returned to Sony and waited 2 months then refused to cover under the warranty!Summary: SAVE YOUR TIME, EFFORT AND MONEY - DO NOT BUY... read more

"Best E-Reader on the market. Easy to use."
Pros: Rock solid SONY aluminum body beats all competitors. Built in slots for Sony Pro Duo & SD memory cards. Several different font sizes. Plays MP3 music files, displays jpg photos, & pdf files. Decent battery life. Plenty of sites for books.
Cons: Using both the reader and mp3 player functions at the same time can drain the battery faster - in about an hour. Could use improved music controls.
