Pros Unbelievable how bad this is
Cons Unbelievable how bad this is
Summary Unbelievable how bad this is
Pros Easy to use and a big step forward for Microsoft.
Cons Haven't found any yet.
Pros I can't think of any
Cons Its slow, signing in takes so long that i give up
Summary Hotmail worked very well. Since it become outlook it just slowed down so much so i give up signing in.
Pros Nothing to speak of
Cons It feels like a throwback design to Windows 95. No real color, faded fonts and too much emphasis on making it look nice for tablets.
Summary I have used Hotmail for many years and when Outlook.com came along I tried it and immediately adopted gMail as my primary email provider. I cannot stand how Microsoft has dumb down the GUI for the sake of tablets. Not to mention the reliability of the service since moving to Outlook.com has suffered a lot. Sorry Microsoft but lately you just can't do anything right.
Pros Not as bad as it was.
Cons Doesn't check for new messages automatically, LOTS of wasted space (in the Inbox, folders, when reading messages, REALLY bad when sending a new message, the menubar), ugly interface even when changing the colors, permanent scrollbar.
Summary I hate having to refresh to get new messages, the ugly interface, the wasted space everywhere. It's like they didn't even test it or listen to the feedback that complained of just such things. Yet we are now all forced to use it. Or use another e-mail, but I've had Hotmail since the 90's before M$ even owned it, so I'm hesitant to change it. Yahoo, AOL, and GMail keeps making stupid changes too, so it's not like any of them are any better anyway. Especially GMail, they keep doing things people specifically say they don't like, but they force us to use it anyway. I've been trying to use the Mac Mail program, but they don't make it easy, and none of the others I've used are good either. Same problems with reading from free e-mail services like these. So I'm stuck reading from my browser, which was working ok with Hotmail and GMail until these arbitrary and awful "upgrades".
