"Needs to be upgraded...but good starting point."
Pros: Nice processor, 1 GB of Ram, DVD Burner, card ports in the front, Windows Media Center, PCI Express slot
Cons: Had to return the first one after it kept crashing as I was trying to use it for the first time...it is requires you to upgrade it right out of the box if you want to take advantage of the Pros.
Summary: I use my computer mainly for non-competitive gaming, surfing the web and general office at home stuff.
I am not a power user or anything crazy like that...just an average user. I don't make web pages or create movies.
That being said, this computer was a good deal for me as I needed an upgrade from my old Dell (866 mhz PIII got it in 2000). I wanted something that performs very well but didn't need something wild like an Alien PC.
I went ahead and bought a Radeon X700 vid card and a tv tuner card that was compatible with media center. I also purchased a 19" LCD Monitor and used my current keyboard and optical mouse. I think that with these upgrades I'm very happy with the performance of the system and ended up spending roughly $1,100 on everything at the most. Really good bang for the buck and it performs very with video games and such.
