"Its OK but..........."
3.0 starson by djdudePros: hook it up your laptop.good for people who play muic at there own parties.
Cons: Read Below to see the cons
Summary: First there was turntables and and you had to take them in and out (they were real big) and it keeped you busy. Then comes along dual cd players and digital cd players that you can scratch and now all you do is put the CD in and do cueing etc. (getting a bit less work)now there this thing and all you do is click the song and there... would you pay $2,000 or $3,000 bucks for a DJ for your wedding to come with this thing and a laptop and speakers....and you dont have to look for cd's or records just sit there on a chair doing nothing???? this would be good for people who want to paractice to be a DJ,wannbe, etc. Trust Me i have been a DJ for 6 years.

I agree with your observation in that it is boring to watch people in front of a laptop. That has been my problem with the modern breakcore/idm movement wherein the DJ is rockin it from behind a laptop, with little movement.

However...

I would say that toys such as these work VERY well for the established DJ in that they are simply a piece of your live equipment. As the work is taken out of digging through a crate, that is the time you could be doing cuts, dropping effects or fusing more than 2 tracks together. Just a suggestion from someone who has been in the industry for a little longer...
