"Great Buy For the Price, Needs a few improvements"
Pros: Great Print server
Web Accessible
Easy to useCons: Slow Hard Drive
Summary: The Good:
Claims DLNA certified to stream to DLNA certified devices, but does not for most devices (so not really DLNA?)
Print server is definitely nice, and extremely compatible! I bought a print server for one of my friends, and their HP Printer would not work. The web interface is clean and easy to use, while giving you easy access to all the features. Also, your buffalo server is accessible through a web portal Buffalo has, all you need to do is turn it on on the device and register. Overall, can't complain for $110 server after 8 months.
The Bad:
As stated, it is definitely a bit on the slow side. Also, never leave the PC Cast/Media Streaming on because the unit CONSTANTLY hits the hard drive for data. This is probably why so many units break (reading and writing to a hard drive for 24hrs/day for 30 days would break almost any HD). Even though my XBox 360 is a DLNA certified media player, and this server is DLNA certified, I could not get the two to work together without a computer in the loop. Big disappointment as this was the main reason I bought this product over other server.
