"Expected faster read/write speeds, comparable to eSATA"
on by DezMixPros More than twice as fast as USB 2.0. I was averaging 68mb/sec transferring large files to & from an internal SATA drive via my USB 3.0 port. Worked well on USB 2.0 ports located on my HDTV.
Cons I expected anywhere from 100mb/sec - 130mb/sec when transferring files, to be honest.
Summary The design is sleek, cable length is adequate and speeds are OK, but I am hoping with improvements to the USB 3.0 controller via drivers, may increase the overall transfer speeds past 100mb/sec.
