"Buy a different brand Hard Drive! Call this "EZTOSS"" on by rock1
Pros: None - that I know about.
Cons: Not Reliable!
Summary: They should call this "EZTOSS" not Ezquest. I owned 2 of them - a 60GB and a 120GB Firewire External Hard Drive. The 120 GB failed to show up on the desktop after 6 months. They told me to send it back under warranty and they will repair it and reformat the hard drive but I will loose all my data. Ok this was tough luck. Twelve months later the same drive fails again, with the same problem - the drive doesn't show up on my computer. This time they say it is past the original warranty. So I take the drive out of their enclosure and put it ito a new enclosure and save the data on my own. Just toss their enclosure. The drive is another mfg. and it works fine. It's their enclosure that is the worst and they build that.
My second 60 GB Firewire drive just failed after 2 years. Once again the same problem. This time I backed up everything to a LaCie knowing the EzQuest is an EzToss. -

"Had two of these die within a year" on
Pros: False price/value ratio
Cons: terrible quality. We bought two of these drives as part of a back up strategy and both died within a year of using them twice a week to copy 20gigs of data.
