"Will not share music as advertised."
Pros: Easy to setup for network
Cons: Does not perform as advertised.
Summary: Buffalo's website says: "Quick and simple installation allows you to instantly store and share your music, videos, images and other files via a web browser from both PCs and Macs." http://www.buffalotech.com/products/product-detail.php?productid=36&categoryid=16
But if you load your music on it, do not try to play the music from the drive. It stops responding during playback making your music skip.
The smug tech support rep plainly stated... "it will not work for playing music, it is a storage device only. Sorry, you are out of luck for this product doing what you want."
What does that mean? I guess to buffalo it is only good for performing backups.
DO NOT buy this product for music. Consider yourself warned.

Ofcourse playback will pause often. Your computer's trying to read the music data over a network without any buffering. If you want to playback, get a gigabit router.
Sharing means that multiple computers can copy files from that network drive into their local hard disk.
