"very good device"
Pros: I have the 2TB version and it is accesseble over the internet.
There is somebody downloading from it now (FTP)Cons: Cant find any
Summary: The reviews saying that it is not accesseble from the net are not true for (at least) the 2TB version.
I am very pleased with the Iomega ix2 2TB !

Sure that it's a good promisse, but You will discover the cons when all of your data will lost because the disks doesn't spin down. And when You try to change a failed disk, You will discover the quality of Iomega tech support (zzz).
Only one tip: ALWAYS MAKE BACKUP IN REMOVABLE MEDIA (DVD) OF YOUR DATA
I lost more than 10 years of photos, music and mersonal documents with this unit.
