Iomega UltraMax Plus Desktop Hard Drive (hard drive array)

Pros: Super easy set up on a Mac using Firewire.
Connected with ease

Cons: They built it with 3 USB (2.0) ports but you can't use them if you connect any other interface than USB... so if you're using Firewire 800, why use USB? The extra USB ports are useless.

Summary: Like I said, appears to be a great external hard drive from Iomega.. I've had several of Iomega drives and they've all been very reliable. The USB issue didn't make sense to me.. but I'll get over it. The supplied documentation says there are 2 Firewire 400 ports and 1 Firewire 800 port but it's actually 2 Firewire 800 ports and 1 400 port... The outside of the box is correct. If you're looking for lots of space, shop around for the best price before buying..
