Pros: Nice device, nice look, good interface, good concept...

Cons: If the device fail (not the HDD) your screwed. Costumer support gives little information and don't give warranty information.

Summary: After 2 years of sweet operation backing up all my photos, docs and stuff, LaCie decided to die. HDD are running nicely but the device itself does not power up anymore. Got the HDD out to restore my date on my computer, windows does not see it. You need UFS explorer but LaCie support does not give easily this information. Then when I want to have a replacement they denied the warranty. While the user manual for all countries mention to contact LaCie, here is the message I got on my Lacie support ticket:
    ____________
    Hello,

if they want to send it for repair.
then it is only about their dealer (NewEgg).
    We have no end-customer support.
I will repair it or replace and send back to their dealers.

    Yours sincerely

    lacie support

Stay as far as possible of LaCie. The prices are nices, the devices seems nice but it don't worth it. If you buy this, it is probably for some safety and reliability reasons, pay a little more to get better product.
