Cons All good at the moment
Summary I know that this unit is a little pricier than some of the others I was looking at but I'm glad that I bought the Thunderbolt. The transfer speeds never cease to amaze me and I've got my weekly backups scheduled and running like a charm. So far I haven't had any problems and if the drives do start to get hot, the unit will let me know before it's a problem.

Pros compact, great transfer speed
Cons no comments
Summary We bought 2 of these for our video production house. They're daisy-chained, which makes the transfer rates really fast. We can now do uncompressed HD editing directly from the drives, which is amazing! I used to work with compressed 'offline' files and then reconnect everything for the final export, but between these drives and the super-fast Thunderbolt connection we've maxed out. These drives have been a great help for me in my workflow.
Pros fast, solid aluminum casing, great concept
Cons so far none
Summary This is a powerful and well-designed drive. Thunderbolt transfer speeds are great. The casing is aluminum, a practical touch, as it protects the drive from overheating. It works very well in Mac environment, backups and file transfers have never been as simple and fast.
Pros easy to setup, easy to use, lots of storage space, good speed, solid aluminum casing
Cons no comments
Summary This unit is everything I was looking for. It's quiet, fast, the design is great, and it works just as expected. Setting it up took me minutes. I love it!
Pros works as advertized, Thunderbolt interface
Cons can't think of any
Summary We have bought two of these units for our studio and daisy chained them. The speed does seem to be faster - although it's kind of hard to tell, Thunderbolt is so fast as it is! The storage capacity is enough for all of our backups and projects and this system works very well for us.
