The only bad thing about this system is the text based management system via a vt100 session, web proxy, or using the LCD display. Firmware support seems non-existent...the system does not do a shutdown before powering off..it just goes off...might be a firmware fix for this, but couldn't find it. The product is an amazingly good functional piece. I cloned my exiting boot MAC X partition to it and was able to use it as a startup drive. at raid 0+1 it was faster than my internal drive, not expected with a firewire800 connection. An alternative bootable MAC X solution would have cost me 3K+.
