Pros: None that I have found
Cons: Dies with no warning signs. Is not detected as drive. USB Code 43 errors
Summary: Original drive worked 6 months then died, no data could be retrieved. Seagate charges from $700 to $2500 for data retrieval. Could never start my machine with it plugged in, even after a Bios change.
I paid 19.99 to have my drive priority shipped and replaced while under warranty. New drive does not function and when I look at the bottom for serial numbers is see a sticker "Seagate Certified Repair", they sent me a reconditioned drive as a warranty replacement!
Cannot believe the difficulties I have had with this drive. I bought because I thought I was buying name brand quality. I'm out 170.00 plus 19.99 for a defective replacement.
Be very wary of Seagate External Drives. Google and see how many people have had problems. Don't rust this as storage like I did. Lost gigs of irreplaceable business files.
