    Pros: drive is fast and efficient

    Cons: the WD smartware isn't. Configuration options are very limited. The software essentially brings my laptop (a three year old Lenovo Ideapad) to a halt.

    Summary: An inexpensive insurance policy; howevever the software is a cludge.
