Fall is right around the corner, which means it's time to revamp your home theater in time for winter hibernation. Much of the stuff we're looking forward to was announced at the recent CEDIA Expo, but there are also quite a few products that have been in the pipeline for while, finally ready to see the light of day. Blu-ray megachangers, superfeatured AV receivers--jump right in to check out the new gear.
Onkyo TX-NR3007
Date: September
Price: $2,100
The outlook:
The Onkyo TX-NR3007 won't fit in the average home theater budget, but it's bursting with features if you're got enough cash to spare. It's a 9.1 AV receiver with an Ethernet port capable of streaming audio from Pandora, Rhapsody, vTuner, and Sirius Internet Radio. Its seven HDMI inputs should be more than enough for all your HD gear, plus all your analog video signals will be upscaled with HQV's excellent Reon-VX processor. We can't comment on the sound quality until we've tested it, but its rare that we test an Onkyo receiver that doesn't sound good.
