Fitness-friendly headphones

Swimsuit season is almost over for many of us, so it's about time to buckle down on that fitness regimen and do some last-minute toning. Dragging yourself to the gym day after day can be such a chore, which is why you should make sure you're motivated once you get there. Music is the perfect way to add some fun to any workout. You can start by picking up a gym-worthy MP3 player.

Or if you already have a device well suited to your fitness routine (most flash-based players will do), consider picking up a fitness-friendly pair of headphones. Trust us: there's nothing more irritating than constantly reinserting an earbud during long periods of bouncy activity. All of the pairs below offer a secure fit, so you can avoid the dangle, and some even offer Bluetooth functionality, allowing you to cut the cord out of the equation entirely.

The Bottom Line The MEElectronics M6 earphones are a great value for bass-addicts, thanks to solid sound quality, a rugged design, and plenty of features. AirDrives Interactive Earphones are a good choice for active users with average-size ears who don't want to stick earbuds into their ear canals and prefer less low-end response. The Sony DR-BT160 Active Style Wireless Headset is a good option for gym rats who want to cut the cord between themselves and their wireless music devices, but business-minded users who are picky about call quality should steer clear.

Of all the headphones on this list only the Sennheiser PMX 680 are still relevant.

This should be updated with some of the new manufacturers like Yurbuds, Monster, Klipsch, and so on.

If anyone is looking for updated reviews I found a ton on this site: http://www.workoutheadphones.org/
