    "It is HOKEY, very hokey the picture is bright though"

    Pros: DVD included, clear picture

    Cons: FuPoSu. The power supply is a FuPoSu (figure it out)

    Summary: The power supply FuPoSued on me. I bought this TV already defective for CHEAP, and I rigged a power supply there to get a TV. The original 'power supply' is inadequately designed for this task. The IC for the PWM is improperly utilized. THe 'engineer' that designed this must have bribed the AKAI dicatators to submit such of an insuffucient design. (I researched and sort of reverse engineered it). Now it is rigged with a power supply that is adequate for the job. I had to chop an aluminum plate to fit it there.

    With my own power supply installed (12.3V 8A) it is working like a champ!!!!! If Akai offered the consumer with a power supply upgrade then this would be GOOD. The MOSFET in the FuPoSu did NOT pow!!! Only the PWM driver IC powed. The spec for the IC show 400ma drive max, this FuPoSu has >600ma!!! I have the FuPoSu in frone of me. I will attempt to get a new IC and heat sink grease an aluminum tab on there!!!!!
