"Jaw Dropping Picture" on by JCtechie
Pros: Affordable
Cons: 720p not full HD
Summary: This TV is ultra affordable, I paid $899, there have been no issues at all. I am pleased with my entry into the HD TV world. The TV is 720p and 1024 X 768. The picture is jaw dropping when watching HD TV. After watching HD TV nothing else is worth watching. I find myself looking forward to my next Plasma that is FULL HD!

"Great budget HDTV" on by airbornetino
Pros: Low Price, 1080i, and PiP
Cons: This thing gets HOT!!! Ix HDMI, Fairly heavy
Summary: Only 1 HDMI cable input is a little annoying and the black levels in this leave plenty to be desired but the only real gripe I have is that my room feels like an inferno when this is on for over an hour. I would recommend some AC if you plan on buying this TV but other than that its a really good TV.

"Great TV when it works" on by ballen9957
Pros: Good price, good picture, lots of features
Cons: Difficult setup, lousy manual, no customer support
Summary: Purchased two sets at a great price. Immediately had pixel problems with the first set and contacted seller for exchange. Was told to contact Akai as they we getting too many returns. Took over a week to get Akai to respond. First Akai repair shop said they could get to me in maybe a month, second store came out and said it was probably a video board. They would try and get a replacement but no guarantees if it was made in China (which it was. Second set now going south. Picture go out after a couple of hours of viewing and you must turn off for a period of time before you can get video back. No reference to problem in manual or internet.
