Summary: If you're on a budget but still want full 1080p HD quality for your video games or movies, this is the way to go.

The audio in and out ports make it easy to hook up a computer if you feel like using it as a monitor. I have had this tv for almost a year now, and took it to college.

When I hosted a party, someone tried to take it and dropped it on the floor before I stopped them, and the tv was fine (which is why i said durable under pros)

It is a large enough screen to enjoy any video game single player

Summary: If you are looking for a TV monitor for some other equipment (cable box, satellite converter, DVR or game console), you can't go wrong with AOC's L24H898. For the price you'll pay you will get rich wide-range sound with good bass and clear treble. Video looks great whether it's analog TV, digital SD or HD TV or HD video sources.

However, if you are looking for a television that can actually receive and tune TV channels, stay away from this model. It has a very slow tuner and sometimes you'll feel like your input on the remote is ignored though it's usually executed, just extremely delayed. Sometimes, especially when tuning between digital TV channels or going from a digital channel to an analog one, the L24H898 becomes unstable and gets stuck on the same channel or goes through a series of reboots where the unit seems to power off and back on many times on its own. (FYI: there are still low-power analog channels and analog cable TV in many markets.) Also, if a DTV channel goes off air, this television is quick to remove it from its memory but if said channel comes back on air, you'll have to run a rescan to get it back because there is no way to manually add digital channels by entering their OTA or QAM-cable real channel (RF) number. If you had taken the time to label all the channels, running a rescan will delete ALL of your labels, even for channels whose status did not change.

Finally, the remote control is awfully designed. If you are used to learning the remote's buttons by touch so you can control the TV without taking your eyes off the screen, be prepared to press the wrong buttons very frequently with this unit. This is not much of an issue if you are going to use a set top box with its own remote, but it becomes irritating for those who actually use the TV to receive television channels.
