    Pros: Looks good

Cons: Doesn't work after 1 month. I wrote a review 1 month ago--a lot can happen in 30 days! When I turned on the TV a long line of pixels suddenly stopped working. I called Dell and all I demanded was an upgrade(for free) to their warranty to 4 years and a re

I bought a Dell W4200 42" Plasma about 3 years ago, and the power supply on the board went out. To correct this problem it will cost about $1,800. Even if I want to fix the T.V.... Dell doesn't have the part for it.
Then I called the customer support for some kind of help, because this T.V. cost me over $3000.00 and its only last me 3years. Then the solution they gave me was that they can either exchange it for a new T.V., but it will cost me $1400.00 more or they can give an out of warranty number to a company that they contracted for them to fix Dell product. There are two problems to these solutions: 1)the company they contracted to is in Kentucky and we live in Texas. Can you imaging mailing the T.V. to them? It will cost of atleast $600 and thats not counting the cost for service and parts, and 2) you can buy a 50" Phillip plasma now for $1500.00. I can't beleive that they try to sell us another the T.V. as a solution.

I can't stand the out of warranty department, because they weren't helpful and they were also rude. They continued to to inform me that my warranty is out and there is nothing they can do. Infact, they yelled at me and hung up on me after I refused on the exchange solution that they tried to get to buy.

I HATE DELL and their PRODUCT. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER DELL PRODUCT EVER AGAIN AND I WILL TRY TO TELL EVERYBODY ABOUT DELL!!!! So, I HERE IS MY RATING FOR DELL "1 OUT OF 10".

Amen to Dell for not giving this guy a 4 year warranty. They give you an inch and you think you can get a mile. Give me a break!

By replacing the TV (with onsite exchage) or refunding your money Dell was "standing behind their product") Your demand that they upgrade the included 1 yr warranty to a full 4 year warranty (which costs 868 when the tv is purchased .. 519 + 349) is ludicrous.

Wow, sounds like your certainly asking for impossible things
thats a bit much, and upgrade, and warranty. You paid for a tv, they offereded to fix it, and they gave you money back, not if you had continual problems thatd be acceptable. But for one defect, no product can be 100 perfect.
