The 40 inch LCD TV is a decent TV for the money.

Pros: Screen size per $.
Coloiur rendition good.
Plenty of input options.

Cons: Sound quality could be better but acceptable as is.
Remote control button layout not that intuitive, key arrangement and groupings could be more logical.

Review: Owned this TV for over two years now. TV gets heavy use and is on from 7:00 in the morning until well past midnight on most days. All the pixels are still good, don't see any picture or sound degradation. Everything works today just the same as when the TV was new. Would buy another.

DO NOT PURCHASE A DYNEX

Pros: Price is inexpensive and the tv works well for a year.

Cons: The television went out a few months after the warranty expired.

Review: Once my TV went out I called the Dynex service line and was put on hold for a half hour. I finally did some troubleshooting with the rep but that did not work. I asked the DYNEX EMPLOYEE if I should purchase another Dynex or if it was typical that their TV's go out right after the warranty is up and she said it was typical that they do break following the warranty. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, she said there was not one there and they could call me back in 7 hours. I finally spoke with the supervisor who of course insured me that he has a few Dynex TV's that are great!

Do yourself a favor and spend 40 to 50 extra bucks to get any other brand.

To expensive to replace. . .

Pros: Good picture quality, good for blu-ray and such

Cons: TV reacts slow to remotes actions, not loud enough, and also the picture goes out around 13 months. It's just a really expensive light-bulb.

Review: Good picture quality, slow reactions and goes out of working order. Very VERY expensive, not "well priced" at all.

High Risk Purchase!! Dynex DX-LCD32 has power problems.

Pros: Nice picture, lots of hookups for games, dvd players, etc., black housing looks nice.

Cons: Power is unreliable, will cycle on and off by itself intermittently, sometimes every 30-60 seconds. Sound is low quality.

Review: This HD TV looks nice and produces a good picture but it has major problems with either the power supply or main board. Known to cycle on and off by itself. Will turn on by itself in the middle of the night even! The fix through Best Buy will cost you as much as to buy a new set. Dynex/Best Buy will NOT stand behind their product. Just know that you are buying a disposable TV.

A decent TV but not the best for its price.

Pros: Decent TV if you are looking to not go broke. HD quality is ok. Sound is decent.

Cons: You wont get the best HD quality out of this time. It is mediocre and should suffice if you are not a videophile.

Review: Would recommend it you are looking to save money. Otherwise I would consider the TCL brand which is in the same price range.

Great t.v and great price

Pros: Nice picture, doesn't leave your wallet drained, lots of inputs and outputs.

Cons: Haven't experienced it.

Review: I gave this t.v. some time to fail since I purchased it about 5 months ago and I still haven't had any issue. I did purchase a 2 year warranty but I am definitely happy with this product.

Happy with after couple years usage. Still works fine.

Pros: Lots of well labeled inputs and outputs.2 HDMIs.Optical port for use with optical cable.Headphone output. Can be used as a computer monitor thru VGA port. Also component, AV,SVideo jacks.150$ less than other tvs with same features. Control buttons neatly

Cons: Built in speakers not sound so great but expected that for price and is common gripe on any tv.

Review: I find it to be a git er done tv. If I wanted a fancier tv would NOT have stayed in the under 399 catagory.

Lot of TV for the money, if it would keep working.

Pros: When it worked color was good and picture was good.

Cons: It has built in flaws that keep failing after short periods of time. It's not like the old days when you just replaced a tube. Repair usually involves an entire PC board that is very expensive.

Review: OK, the set is a low cost set and it is a lot of TV for the cost. If the set didn't keep failing I would love it. Lot's of inputs and color and picture is decent.

Great inexpensive TV, AFTER, they repair the main board

Pros: Inexpensive
Great range of inputs
Picture quality is great for the price

Cons: These tv's are known to have a problem with the board malfunctioning and the picture going out. If you got your's repaired like I did mine within the warranty, this thing will last you forever. If you don't, your probably out of luck.

Review: A great TV with a huge fault, I feel like most manufacturers purposely do this sort of thing to their product so you have to buy more. New generation electronics almost always break, think about how many times your Xbox, Ps3, Ipod or cell phone decided to go caput.

If it weren't for that, I would rate this TV 5 stars, i've loved it for the time its been with me and I use it as both a computer monitor, and a regular ol' tv.

Dynex was also very easy to deal with about their 1 year warranty, a repair man came out while I was at work, replaced the faulty board and was on his way, no harm no foul.

Lemon aka Junk

Pros: None: I can not think of one thing good about a TV you can not watch. You might as well put your money in the trash when you buy a Dynes TV.

Cons: on the 3rd LCD screen that has gone bad in 2 years.

Review: We have had the TV for 2 years now and it is on it's 3rd LCD screen. Geek squad is a joke. and we are out $399.

I would not purchase a Dynex television again

Pros: The price was better than other simular television from more popular (renoun) brands.

Cons: The quality however is poor in my oppinion. The on/off switch broke within a few months. We also had difficulty changing chanels again because of the switchs. The picture is so so.

Review: My son purchased the same television and had the some issues so that shows the quality is poor. I would not purchase this brand again.

nice HDTV for the money

Pros: Great TV for the money.

Cons: Fragile screen.

Review: This is a great TV for the money: I've had mine for about 18 months now. Watch out for the screen, though, as it is very easy to break! I run this through a converter box, and tune with that, so the problems that others have had with the channel changer don't apply to me... Whoever mentioned that this model does not have side inputs is WRONG, there are side inputs - he/she must have an earlier model Dynex. (BB does switch models of the 32" Dynex LCD fairly often - I've seen three, in two years!)

Beautiful picture but trouble with changing channels

Pros: Beautiful picture, in. better than grainy Vizio that I have. Has a favorites menu, you can also type in a channel title. I am not using a cable box & have basic cable. Get more channels without cable box even HD. Use it with Ultramon on my PC.

Cons: Remote does not always work for volume or changing channels. Sometime you have to press foward a few times, back & then foward. This is the TV not the remotes, I have 3 different remotes.

Review: TV problems with changing channel and volume. TV picture beautiful bought about 3 years ago. When viewed from the side the screen picture is still beautiufl. 26 Viizio I have cannot compare. When veied from the side the picture look like a cell phone screen in the sun. I would still buy a Dynex I just hope they fixed the problems I mentioned. Dynex also has HDMI connection as well as PC and other video, audio connections

garbage tv

Pros: Works good for like 12.5 months

Cons: As soon as the warranty runs out the tv will break. SURPRISE!

Review: I think BB writes fake reviews on their website to try get their product sold. Don't be fooled. tv is a giant joke. It broke after about 13 months and It won't work at all.

WORST Product & Service Hands-Down!

Pros: HATED IT...WASTE OF MONEY!

Cons: I'll never buy Dynex or shop at Best Buy again!

Review: This TV worked for only 7 months before the screen turned completely white. Called Geek Squad, they came to fix the TV. Only 5 months later the same thing happened...a white screen. Of course, this was ONLY one month past the 12-month warranty! Called Geek Squad, who informed me that they could fix it for a whopping $125 for the technician to show-up and an additional cost of $35 for every 15-minute increment. Are they crazy? This is obviously a very poor quality TV and I will never shop at Best Buy again. They have lost a customer. They do not stand behind their products or give a rats-rump about customer service or customer satisfaction!!!

Best Buy and Dynex SUCK!!!

Pros: There is nothing to like about BB in Aurora on Tower, customer service is a joke.
The manager there asked me why I wanted the address for Corp.
Said he did not know where they were!
Then asked me why I wnated it was I going there?
Dynex sucks.

Cons: Went out after 16 months of use...one year warranty

Review: Don't shop there and don't buy Dynex!

The best deal

Pros: Bought it for $325 and was the best value. Has the same outlets and features as the more well known brands.

Cons: HD is not great with standard cable, but has fantastic picture quality with HD channels.

Review: This is the best deal, and is comparable to most other flat-panel televisions.

Will NOT honor Dynex warrantee as written

Pros: good to average picture- inexpensive

Cons: Poorest warrantee care Ive seen. Thanks Best Buy

Review: 08-15-2009 Purchased at best buy ..Not honoring and changing warrantee as printed on Dynex site..The so called good warrantee was a main reason to purchase

I had a recent experience today at the Highland,IN BB store. I also contacted C Support to no avail.

Apparently BB does not honor Dynex return for replacement warrantee as written. I had them try to get me to PAY a service fee for warrantee replacement.

TV Dynex 32"..
Problem- red screen of death

resolution- currently BB has the tv and needs to "send it in" since the Geek Squad at Highland is not competent enough to see I have a red screen???

Claims about two weeks to get a answer???

My contacts at BB store and Cust support were fruitless. No one I contacted had any authority to do anything except hold me on the phone for 45 minutes.

I even read them their Dynex warrantee word for word and still they claim it has changed.

Basic warrantee- return to store of purchase within 1 year for REPLACEMENT with current equivalent model.

It says nothing about getting a repaired unit back- nor a two week evaluation period or any such hooey, it says REPLACEMENT..

BB representative have agreed they have changed the terms of warrantee- and that my friends is called " bait and switch"

Great for the back bedroom . Nice and cheap.

Pros: the price is right. At 32 inches its the perfect size if you are viewing close. I dont think you need 1080 on a 32 inch screen.

Cons: Pushing the buttons on the remote are a little slow. If you like to channel surf there is a delay. Viewing off center is not as sharp as looking at it head on.

Review: There are more pros than cons on this tv. On most products, if they break down during the warranty then you have to bring it back to the manufacturer. With the Dynex, the maker is Best Buy. I don't have to pay for shipping to where ever.

Very poor quality and service

Pros: nothing good about theTV or service

Cons: Lasted 13 and 1/2 months/ no help from Best Buy

Review: The set worked OK for 13 and 1/2 months and then went bad. It was a bedroom set so we figured the actual hourly usage was right around 300 hours. Best Buy would not budge and stuck with out of warranty. Had to pay $69.99 to have them look at it. Have been waiting about two weeks now to find out what is wrong and how much to fix it using the Geek Squad. Dynex and Best Buy are now on my list of Garbage product and service.

Overall OK, but you get what you pay for...

Pros: Price, ease of setup, nice remote, lots of connectors

Cons: channel issues, tech issues

Review: I have had little problems with this TV since day one. If it's on for more than 4-5 hours, the remote stops working and I have to unplug the TV to turn it off. Also, the channels would get "stuck" if the channel had more than 2 decimal places. Basically, channel 66.0 would work, as would 66.22, but then it would start going to channels 66.2354 and I would have to turn the TV off. Once I turn it back on, the channel that would come up would be the last working channel.

Then this month, less than 4 months after I bought it, the whole thing just died. I was told the main circut board was totally fried. I am so glad I got the extended warranty!

Excellent HDTV, Great Picture, Software Problems

Pros: This TV has an excellent picture on HD. The resolution is great, very little smearing on fast action. I have a Sony 46" and it compares very well to it. I am very satisfied if I can get Best Buy to fix the software problem.

Cons: A little difficult to program. No side inputs for connecting DVD, etc. Major problem with the tuner. I program it and the channels disappear. Then odd channels crop up in their place. I lose 27.1 and then I have 28.16 appear. This happens often.

Review: I am happy I bought the set. The picture is excellent. It is a handy size for a small room and viewing is good from a wide angle. I went to Best Buy and described my problem with the tuner and they are stumped (as I am.) It is a problem in the fireware of the tuner. I will return it to the repair department this week and be without for a couple of weeks. I just hope they can fix it.

Great Deal

Pros: VGA, DVI, HDMI, Composite, Component, built in speakers. Good colors.

Cons: None I can think of.

Review: This tv was on sale at Best Buy for $449 when I picked it up a week ago. I have my pc and my xbox 360 connected to it. So far I have been very pleased. Colors look great. There is more then enough connectivity or at least for me. The built in speakers sound pretty good given how small they are. This is hard to beat for the price and I shopped around. I would definitely buy one of these again!

I'm very pleased with my TV. Good Picture, Great Price, Good Waranty...(I hope)

Pros: Price, Picture Quality, Overall Performance.

Cons: Unknown Name, Brand Familiarity...

Review: I have a small house and I bought this to use as my main TV. I use it mostly for my Xbox 360, I have not even bothered to hook up the high definition digital signal... I think I'd have to pay Time Warner more to get a high def signal sent to me... But the Xbox 360 at720DPI looks really really good. It's a great picture. And the TV looks great even at standard resolution. I recommend this TV to all my friends.
