Summary: You know it took me 3 weeks to buy this tv because Iwas leery, about the BRAND and PRICE, it must be JUNK. MAN WAS I SO VERY WRONG, I am so happy with this AOC\ENVISION TV. RAT SHACK RULES...

"Great Display; NO EPG!!" on by cherotree
Pros: Wonderful picture quality, great price.
Cons: NO EPG (Electronic Program Guide)
Summary: Wonderful picture quality. So lifelike that it almost appears 3-D. This is my first LCD digital TV purchase and I have it hooked up to an over the air digital TV signal. Stunning clarity. You do need to tweak the display controls somewhat to get the best picture quality; the default settings will not give you the best display. I have not played a DVD or any other source with this set but I would expect the quality to be very high also. At the time of my purchase (11/15/08 for $450) this was the lowest priced 32" LCD that I could find. The major drawback is the lack of an EPG (electronic program guide). If you are only going to use this set for gaming, watching movies or have cable or satellite; then the lack of an EPG will not be a major consideration. Without an EPG, you are not able to preview the upcoming programming for digital TV stations. With some digital converter boxes, you are able to view programming hours in advance. Also, the digital tuner in the set does not pull in stations as well as digital converter boxes that I do have. Using the same source in approximately the same location, the signal for this unit is not as good; although more than adequate for good reception. I would have given this unit 5 stars if there was an EPG included and the reception was better. All in all, a great 32" LCD TV at a great price in spite of it's limitations.

"GREAT picture for lesser known brand" on by gameplayhd
Pros: 1080i HD cable looks AMAZING and standard channels too, xbox n ps3 awesome 720p
Cons: only 1 of each input, 2 HD channels lag, but rest are ok
Summary: i bought this tv at a staples because it was on sale for 549. hooked it up to my playroom and HD channels LOOK GREAT, as good as my roomates 32inch sony. only 2 channels Gameplay HD and nat geo. ESPN HD LOOKs SUPERB and xbox and ps3 n blue ray look AMAZING at 720, no lag at all on movies or games. i love this tv so much we split another one for the living room and found it at radioshack for only 499. it was a steal and a shame its back to 599 but still good price for 32 inch. so far so good, i play Halo 3 a lot and Fight Night online and seems a bit faster then the sony which was 799. everything is great except only 1 hdmi and 1 component. Its ok because i found an hdmi splitter at Monoprice . com.
