"waste of money"
Pros: cheap to buy
Cons: expensive to own
Summary: First unit did not work out of the box, but Gateway was very cooperative in replacing that unit. The second unit died at 24 months, and Gateway won't service it for less than $1000 ($200 for service call, $250 for labor, $475 for each replacement board required). Gateway does not sell replacement parts, so I cannot fix it myself. They cannot tell me what the problem is: "the service technician will replace the boards one-by-one to see if it fixes the problem" Moreover, Gateway is currently out of stock on replacement boards so the telephone agent suggested that I call back periodically to find out if they have them in stock!!!!!
Never again will I buy a Gateway product.
