Pros: great HD image quality, separate AV box, great sound w/ speakers, swivel stand, overall design
Cons: SD image not great, pricey.
Summary: Purchased in May 2004. Been running almost round the clock like a champ for 5 years now. No issues, still great picture quality. Great for games, HDTV, Blue-Ray, DVD, ect. Hasn't been too many other TV's in recent years that I feel have better overall HD picture quality. Almost time to get new set 5 years later but still loving this Hitachi. Only wish it could be Back-Fitted for HDMI use. Has DVI and Component but HDMI really wasn't on the scene at time of purchase but now would love to have it. Size and HDMI are the only reasons I would even consider replacing this as my main Living Room set. Many friends bought flat panels over the last 5 years and the only, Single, ONLY..... TV I've seen that for sure looked better was a 60" KURO Elite. Just saw the new Samsung 240hz LED/LCD and still not sold on LCD. You could probably find one of these Hitachi's for $800 now somewhere but it would stack up against almost anything at least in the 42 range overall.

Pros: Swivel base, perfect design, great speakers. We displayed this at a show and received compliments and stopped the crowd all day long!
Cons: A bit pricey but well worth it!
Summary: This is an awesome set and the best choice anyone could ever have. The only other plasma with a swivel base is a Loewe Spheros.

Pros: best looking design, picture quality and picture controls are massive, many easy to use variables.
Cons: dont like the external AVC, some ghosting effect occasionally on white lettering, and it now that I have it, I am not certain its worth the $5k+ 9value for the $).

Pros: Picture only matched by a Pioneer that cost twice as much. Mine is almost two years old, people watch it and can't believe they wasted money on a cheaper plasma. Don't buy a plasma because it is a plasma - look at the picture - compare it to other plasma'
Cons: Once you watch hdtv on a quality plasma, you will lose interest in all other shows. I also missed plays at the superbowl because I was counting the blades of grass on the field!

Pros: Design, Natural colors , Contrast is excellent specially you watch Movie on HD player.
Cons: Should provide more DVI nputs. Must have Pre-colour setting, eg. Movie, Sports etc currently it has only DAY and Night mode.
