"Disappointed" on by Criticman
Pros: Nice Picture
Cons: Technical Problems
Summary: Since purchasing this product, I have been very disappointed with the streaming video and movies. Most downloaded video will not play on the system as you get a message saying unsupported format. Movies downloaded from Cinema takes 40 minutes to 1hour to download and you do not have FF or RW in some cases do not work. The system does not support Quicktime or other formats. Also it's very confusing and difficult to delete various video and audio files.

"Better Than the Box Solution" on by kyoteki
Pros: Wired/Wireless Network, Plays Video, Music, and Pictures
Cons: Only Comes in One Size
Summary: Ok, so the HP MediaSmart TV came out last fall at a steep price of $2,700... Now a year later, this unit can be found on clearance for $1,000. Why? Because it is technology ahead of it's time. If you can find one, do it now. When we're all looking for that clean Home Theatre look, why take up extra space using an external box solution... I'm buying two for my new condo; one for the loft, and one for the living room.

"Amazing quality and looks" on by joshsc
Pros: Beautiful finish, beautiful picture and so many extras
Cons: You pay for those extras
Summary: This is the best looking TV that HP has come out with to date. This TV has a 6ms response time; one of the best in the field. Most other LCD TVs are 8ms. From what I was reading and from what the reps at the store said, this TV does more than stream media- It has a built in A/B/G wireless/wired unit. Using the wireless 802.11a means you won't get the interferance that wireless G media extenders have. You will get faster transmission meaning full video streaming. Secondly, the streaming media goes beyond what's on your computer- The TV will access a number of services such as Rapsody and you can order movies (or music)online and stream it directly to the TV. You can share photos online (or on your hard drive)and access those photos via the TV. It is the concept of the media extender- but done right.
