"DO NOT BUY THIS TV!"
Pros: Looks nice!
Cons: Looks can and are deceiving!
Summary: My wife and I purchased this television set Jan 7,2006. We also spent the additional $200 on the extended 4-year warranty. On Oct 7, 2006 the TV just died. Neither the 1-year product warranty nor the extended warranty has done us any good.
We keep getting the run around from Best Buy and the customer service dept. at Insignia. The excuse that we're getting is that they can't find a service agent in our area to come out and take a look at the television. Every service rep. or manager that we've spoken to tells us that someone will get back to us in 1-2 business days, no one ever does.
Save yourselves a huge headache! Don't even bother with this product. And as far as I'm concerned BEST BUY is a NO BUY! I will not purchase a single product from this chain ever again!
By the way, since we've been dealing with this ordeal we've been doing some research on-line on Best Buy. There are a huge amount of similar complaints as ours about their service and selling faulty products.
PS - This is for the marketing people over at Best Buy and Insignia. As a brand loyal Latino, I'm sure your quite aware of the growth within that demographic. I'm going to go out of my way to make sure as many of my people are aware of my displeasure with your service. My recommendation is going to be not to purchase any Insignia products or anything else from Best Buy!
