"SImply UNBEATABLE at this price!" on by TVguru08
Pros: Picture quality is outstanding, great for an apartment or moderately-sized living room, design is very modern, sound is not too loud but very clear
Cons: None for my purposes
Summary: If you're not a tech junkie trying to build a home theater, then this is the TV for you. The quality is simply too high for the big name manufacturers to compete with at this price. Do yourself a favor and buy this TV!!!

"Great value-TV!!!" on by GCmusic22
Pros: A solid picture, slick case design, and customization options make this TV one of the greatest entry-level values on the market. Vizio doesn't even come close!!
Cons: The black levels aren't as black as some LCD's, the sound quality is slightly weak, and the clarity of the picture is a little lacking when compared to an LG or a Samsung. Needless to say, it didn't cost as much, though.
Summary: Great TV for someone who wants a solid LCD without having to shell out $1000. Hook up an inexpensive set of 2.1 computer speakers, tune-in the picture settings, and you're in business!!

"Great TV for price" on by winger58
Pros: Ease of use
Great HD pictureCons: Nothing that the average Joe cares about
Summary: I'm spending a lot of time researching 46" LCD TV's for a new room in the house. I keep reading reviews that are technical and very picky, which makes it difficult for "Average-Joe" consumer to make heads or tails of. Since I've owned this Insignia 37" TV for almost a year, I wanted to give my 2-cents: It's a great TV! I don't know if it's the greatest picture ever (probably not), or if the sound is inferior to others (maybe). All I know is that we have watched this TV for many hours (my wife has an in-home business and the TV is on all day and night). We have thoroughly enjoyed it and have had absolutely no problems. The picture is crisp and clear. I watch hockey games on it and it is like being in the first row looking through the glass. Even with a fast-paced sport like hockey, I have not noticed any "blurring" of fast-motion and it looks as good as any 120hz TV's that I have seen. I don't have surround sound, but the TV is plenty loud at mid-range just using the TV speakers. I'm hooked up to Time Warner with a HDTV cable box using a HDMI cable (buy cable through internet sites such as Cablesforless.com for a fraction of cost in stores!). Bottom line: If you are just a family like ours that wants a very good TV experience for as little cost as possible; you won't be disappointed with this TV. I'll probably go with an Insignia for my 46".

"Good picture, some issues with chyannel entry & sound" on by jdahm
Pros: Good picture, good remote, good price, menus are self explanitoryu
Cons: It can receive 4-digit cable channels like 1501, but you can't enter 4-digits from the remote, you only access 1501 by going to 02 and using the down arrow. Surround-sound (default setting) does not work w/ internal speakers, does work w/ headphones
Summary: Nice picture, menus, and remote, butr the TV has technical problems that BEST an d Insignia cannot seem to fix. The 32 inch model has none of these issues. If the 4-digit channle entry and the surround-sound issue with the internal spoeakers could be fixedc (firmware update?) then I'd recommend this 37" TV without reservation. But these two issues are frustrating, especially the 4-digit issue with entering vthe channel from the remote.
