"Good TV, Great Price" on by Jkosty2

Pros: An inexpensive tv with plenty of features, great picture qualit, and sharp asthetic design.

    Cons: Bad Speakers

Summary: I purchased this product open box from a local best buy for 450$. I got it home and the television is amazing. The picture quality is really oustanding and equally rivals the more expensive name brand televisions of the same size. It has loads of features including 2 hdmi ports, and several different aspect ratios.

The only complaint I have had so far is the speakers on the hardware seem to be a bit weak when used in conjunction with the HDMI input. I have a playstation 3 and every once in awhile, for some reason the speakers will crackle, even when the volume is down low. I haven't had any problems with the sound when watching normal television. Perhaps its a problem that spawned from the HDMI. This won't pose much of a problem, however, if you plan on using this tv with a seperate audio device like a surround sound system.

The picture quality is amazing, and the number of features it offers are nothing short of what you would find on a high priced brand name model. The only reason I didn't give it a 9 or 10 was because of the speaker issue.

"Mine broke down within 4 months." on by SanDiegos

Pros: I had an extended warranty.

Cons: Best Buy has no urgency to honor their extended warranty,

Summary: I was sold on this TV based upon my previous positive relationship with Best Buy and the sales person assuring me that this was a excellent TV which was manufactured for and exclusively distributed by Best Buy. Despite the assurances I purchased a 4 year extended warranty for in-house repair. I should have been more inquisitive as to the turn-around time for repairs, because even though I have spoken to the supervisor of the Best Buy repair department the earliest they will have a technician in my home will be 18 days after I placed the warranty claim. It is obvious to me that Best Buy does not stand behind their products or honor their warranties in a timely fashion.

"Great budget HDTV!" on by GCmusic22

Pros: It has a great picture considering the price tag and the menu options make it possible to do a simple calibration. Has all the same inputs as the more expensive sets and looks great with an HD signal hooked up via an HDMI connection.

Cons: Comes with a flimsy stand, so I'd recommend mounting it on the wall. Also, the black levels aren't as good as most of the expensive sets so watching movies with dark scenes isn't as pleasing as it could be. Turning the backlight down helps though.

Summary: Great for the price! You can pick at the details all you want, but if you're going to do that, then you need to spend the extra $$$ for a Samsung or a Sony.

"Best picture for the price." on by famufella

    Pros: Good color and contrast

Cons: Black level could be better

Summary: The opinions written by the other users must be false. This is a new model for 2008 which has only been for sale since March 2008. (Check bestbuy.com, it still says "new item") I would encourage anyone who is looking for a great priced 32" lcd to stop by your local Best Buy and give this set a chance. Picture quality is superb for the price and it is loaded with inputs. With this being one of the lowest priced 32" lcd's on the market, I was not expecting the very best picture quality but was very impressed with the overall quality of the set.
