The Bottom Line Serious issues with image burn-in spoil the Insignia NS-PDP42's appeal as an inexpensive plasma HDTV. Although it requires more than a few picture quality trade-offs, the Panasonic TC-P50X1 delivers the best black-levels-to-dollars ratio of any HDTV we've tested. With excellent picture quality marred by only a couple of flaws, the Panasonic TC-PG10 series sits near the head of the class of 2009.
