"Razor Sharp Text With Solid Picture Quality"
Pros: Excellent Video Processor , Wide Viewing Angle
Cons: Color Accuracy - a bit , Rear Inputs On Side
Summary: Sometimes we get a little gun-shy and don't pull the trigger on a purchase because we listen too much to reviews that might cloud our judgement. In this case, if you get a chance to visit one of the JVC Procision dealers, go and see the LCD, like I did. You would be pleasantly surprised. If the reviewer had not mentioned the color accuracy issue, I bet you would not have noticed it much. Seeing this LCD next to the Sony XBR-4 and Sharp D-82, it was apparent to me (after tweaking the sets) that the overall picture quality on the JVC set was better and sharper. The smoothness that the XBR-4 exhibited was fine but - to me , it was a little too smooth and not to my liking. Now again, that's "my" take on the 3 sets side-by-side. This is why people should go see and compare for themselves. My only real pet peeve with the JVC is that the inputs on the rear are on the side and not directly in the middle of the back like the X788. This makes for a messier rear when you have to pull your component cables all the way over to the side. This LCD is great and that's why I just bought one.
