"Great Looking TV. BUT!! Pannel went out after 10 months"
Pros: Great contrast 720p or 1080i takes a dump in the warranty
Cons: Pannel (LCD screen) takes a dump
Summary: I have had this TV since Oct of 2006. It works great for a PC monitor. Then in July of 2007 when I would turn it on, one set of the back lights would flicker for about 2 min and then come on. Then a week later the TV would start Flashing on and off very fast. I called LG and they sent out Video Tech Services to fix it. The tech knew that it was the panel but LG will not replace the Panel until the digital Board and the possessor board was replaced first. The back light is part of the LCD panel and can?t be replaced without replacing the whole LCD panel. It costs LG $1100 for a new panel, so don?t think it is an easy low cost fix. If you have problems getting a hold of LG and you live in the Sacramento, California Area, bypass LG Customer Service and Call Video Tech Services at 916-481-2936 they handle all LG's warranty issues.
