    "Great TV, Great Value"

    by 8thhonciv on July 6, 2008

Pros: Beautiful Picture, Fast Response Time, Accurate Colors, Sound, Adjustments, Beautiful Design

Cons: Takes a bit longer than most tv's to start up.

Summary: The CNET review on this tv is not accurate. I own this TV for about 2 months now. AMAZING picture quality. I play blu-ray movies and PS3 games constantly, NO ghosting, AMAZING and ACCURATE color representation. The sound on the tv is GREAT quality...nice clear and crisp sound. Standard definition looks good on this tv and HDTV is just TOP!! I compared this tv to a Sharp, Sony, Samsung, and Insignia (dont know why that one was there) and samsung and this LG had the best picture.

The reason why i chose the LG was because samsung over charges. Just like sony..why are the sony tv's so much more expensive??...DUH cause its SONY...your paying for the name! All sony is good for are their walkmans.

This tv had the sharpest and brightest image. The black levels are good!! Compared to the samsung...honestly its about the same thing. There is not a massive difference. Most people and i mean 95% of people wont even tell the difference.

guys...720p on a 40 inch TV and smaller produces images that are identical to 1080p on 42'' tv's and larger.

720p is PERFECT for this size. 1080p is only needed when screen sizes are bigger than 42 inches....your eye cant see a difference when a tv is smaller than 40 inches.

There are some confusions as to whether or not its 8ms or 6 ms Response time...who cares...i played call of duty 4....Grid....GTA4...NO problems with ghosting or anything. Can you guys really tell the difference between 2 ms?? NO you cant cause the eye cant distinguish a movement that fast.

Anyways for 799.99 this tv is the best bang for your buck...LG really stepped it up.

By the way...the adjustments on this tv are unbeleivable. You can SUPER fine tune this tv unlike other tv's in its class.

Absolutely correct representation of this unit, the Pixel resp time is 5ms, thus for gaming (Xbox360) I never ever had any kind of ghosting
