"More Bang For The Buck!"4.5 starson by phillip2010
Pros: Priced right and that's half the battle!
Has plenty of adjustments and calibrations for even the pickiest videophile
Satellite HD channels and my desktop PC look awesome in 1080p
Nice piano black finish with swivel stand
Cons: Reds look too bright and required some tweaking for my tastes
Standard def programs look pretty average on my HDDVR receiver
Side angle viewing is barely tolerable
Summary: I bought this TV online, from 6th Ave Electronics using the "BONUSBUY" coupon code. I got it for just $421.12 + no tax + no shipping! I simply couldn't find a better deal, on a 32" 1080p LCD with all the features this LG had. I was looking for a bedroom TV and a bigger 1080p monitor. Well, this TV met all my requirements and then some. It took about a week to ship from UPS and it arrived in pristine condition, without any kind of blemish on it whatsoever.
Right now, I have it hooked up to my DirectTV HDDVR, Gateway desktop PC and Memorex DVD/VHS player and everything looks awesome on it. After programming my universal remote, I can switch and control any of them in a push of a button without even getting out of bed. If I can't read my computer at that distance, I just zoom the text using my wireless keyboard and mouse to 150 or 200% and Voila!
I still plan on buying a blu-ray player next for streaming etc, but right now I'm just enjoying my current setup. I used most of the CNET calibrations, but I like my TV viewing on the sharp side to show more detail on faces, landscapes and fine print on commercials for example. So, I keep the edge enhancer set on high and the sharpness levels pretty high at 80H and 80V. If you're looking for a bedroom TV or monitor, you simply can't go wrong with this 32" from LG. Especially, if you're looking for more bang for the buck deal and who isn't?
I highly recommend it!
